EKG Technician Program – 48 Hours | No Externship Required
AUMT Institute’s 48-hour EKG Technician Program prepares students to become certified Electrocardiograph (EKG/ECG) Technicians. EKG Technicians perform diagnostic tests that monitor heart rate and rhythm—essential in surgeries, routine exams, and cardiac assessments.
This program includes online lectures and hands-on training, with no externship required. All core skills—such as lead placement, machine operation, and rhythm interpretation—are thoroughly taught and practiced during class hours, meeting clinical requirements without additional fieldwork.
Students will learn heart anatomy, medical terminology, EKG machine use (3-lead, 5-lead, 12-lead), arrhythmia detection, artifact prevention, pacemaker basics, and Holter monitor application. Upon completion, students are eligible to take the National EKG Technician Certification Exam.
This course offers a fast, focused path to certification and job readiness in hospitals, clinics, and cardiology settings.
